Steps on How to Make your Own Improved Leche Flan:

Prepare to jump in the creamy goodness of Leche Flan with these simple steps:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk or beat the mixture until well blended and smooth.

2. In a separate saucepan, melt sugar over medium heat until it caramelizes and turns golden brown. Be careful not to burn the sugar.

3. Pour the caramelized sugar into the heatproof mold or ramekins, swirling it around to coat the bottom evenly.

4. Gently pour the custard mixture into the mold or ramekins, ensuring not to disturb the caramel layer.

5. Cover the mold or ramekins with aluminum foil or a lid to prevent water from entering during cooking.

6. For steaming: Place the mold or ramekins in a steamer and steam for about 30-40 minutes or until the custard is set. For baking: Place the mold or ramekins in a baking pan filled with water (bain-marie) and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 45-60 minutes or until the custard is set.

7. Once cooked, remove the Leche Flan from the steamer or oven and let it cool to room temperature. Then, refrigerate for at least a few hours or overnight to allow it to fully set.

8. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the mold or ramekins to loosen the Leche Flan. Place a serving plate on top of the mold or ramekin and carefully invert it to release the custard with the caramel sauce on top.
