For the perfect Halo-Halo concoction, the possibilities are endless: jellies, flan, macapuno, palm seeds, sweetened red beans, shaved ice, ube ice cream, fresh fruit, toasted coconut flakes, pinipig—the list goes on! In my own rendition, I elevate the experience by incorporating mango jelly infused with fresh fruit, complemented by the fragrant sweetness of pandan-infused condensed milk. So, whether you're craving a refreshing treat on a scorching summer day or simply seeking a taste of Filipino culinary excellence, Halo-Halo is sure to satisfy your cravings and leave you craving for more. Blender- Needed for your Iced to be crushed in pieces you'd like.










Ingredients



- Crushed ice - Assorted toppings (jellies, flan, macapuno, palm seeds, sweetened red beans, ube ice cream, fresh fruit, toasted coconut flakes, pinipig, etc.) - Sweetened condensed milk (regular or pandan-infused) - Mango jelly (optional) - Fresh fruit (optional)



Steps On How to Prepare Your Own very Improved Halo-Halo!



Steps to Prepare Halo-Halo: 1. Prepare your assorted toppings by chopping or slicing them into bite-sized pieces if needed. You can include a variety of ingredients such as jellies, flan, macapuno, palm seeds, sweetened red beans, ube ice cream, fresh fruit, toasted coconut flakes, pinipig, etc. 2. If using mango jelly, prepare it according to the package instructions and set it aside to cool. 3. Fill a tall glass or bowl halfway with crushed ice. 4. Layer the assorted toppings over the crushed ice. You can be creative with how you arrange them, ensuring a variety of textures and flavors in each spoonful. 5. If using mango jelly, add a layer of the cooled jelly with fresh fruit pieces. 6. Top the Halo-Halo with more crushed ice until the glass or bowl is almost full. 7. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the top of the Halo-Halo, adding as much or as little as you like depending on your preference for sweetness. 8. Optionally, garnish with additional toppings such as toasted coconut flakes or pinipig for added texture and flavor. 9. Serve immediately with a long spoon and enjoy the refreshing and delightful flavors of Halo-Halo!
